An Ordinary Journey...

Around the age of 8, I enrolled at the Conservatory of Montbéliard, where I studied music theory. Since my results were not sufficient, I was directed to the music school in Sochaux to continue my music theory studies. At the same time, I took private piano lessons with Mlle Parrot in Montbéliard. I didn’t particularly stand out, but I performed in several auditions.

In middle and high school, I used the piano as a means of expression and began learning composition through small improvisations, which slightly developed my creativity. This was also the period when I became passionate about electronic music and minimalist music. Discovering many composers influenced me and sharpened my musical ear.

The first major musical impulse came from purchasing the Korg 01W/FD synthesizer, which boosted my creativity through its internal sequencer and helped me overcome some of my technical limitations. I could finally express my musicality freely! At the end of 1995, I wrote my first complete composition. Others followed quickly.

I felt I was progressing too slowly and sensed a technical stagnation. That’s why I decided to take lessons: music theory and electroacoustic courses at the Conservatory of Montbéliard starting in 1997. In 2000, I earned my first music diploma (Diploma in Sound Art and Technique), receiving high honors with a "Très Bien" distinction. I was fortunate to study under professors Roland Cahen, Hans Tutschku, Frédéric Voisin, and Lorenzo Bianchi.

I write music because it constantly inhabits me: I must write the music I want to hear. Writing music is not reserved for an elite; it is accessible to everyone. This is even truer today with AI, which allows anyone to generate beautiful music with a simple click. However, it will never replace the human alchemy of the writing and composition process.

Music reveals our soul.
Until my last breath, I will write music.
